WORKING TOGETHER Jamie Gane, adaptive athlete TENA are thrilled to be working with Jamie Gane, a 24 year old adaptive athlete with a below-knee amputation from Basingstoke, Hampshire. Jamie has an incredible story about how he lives everyday as an adaptive athlete alongside managing his incontinence. Jamie’s story When he was just nine years old, whilst on a family holiday in Florida, Jamie collapsed and with severe pain in his feet. After undergoing various therapies, that subsequently did not work and a scheduled operation that failed. This left Jamie with no feeling from the waist down, that ultimately led to incontinence. Wheel chair bound for most of his teenage and young adult life, Jamie fought to have an operation to have his lower right leg amputated. Eventually in 2016 he was successful in his attempt and since has gone on to become a truly inspirational athlete for those who have disability and incontinence. Jamie was introduced to TENA by his continence nurse and was inspired by the conversation. He uses TENA daily and enjoyed having open conversations about his incontinence and how TENA makes peoples lives easier. Jamie now has set his sights on the 2024 Paralympic games. 3 STEPS to help good skin health TENA has developed a three step skin health solution for those living with incontinence. Our years of expertise have shown us that these three steps are the most important principles in maintaining natural skin health. Step 1: Keep it dry Using TENA ProSkin absorbing products with FeelDry Advanced functionality Step 2: Keep it clean With TENA ProSkin wipes and wash creams TESTED DERMATOLOGICALLY Step 3: Keep it protected By applying TENA ProSkin barrier cream
